About Us

Built by people who'd rather solve the problem than sell the pitch.

A small, senior team of spatial consultants and engineers, built around one idea - the right question matters more than a polished map.

Our Story

Founded on a simple idea: better questions lead to better maps.

Eightysevenpins started with a straightforward frustration: too many spatial projects delivered a polished map that answered the wrong question. We set out to build a practice that starts with the decision an organisation actually needs to make, and works backward to the data, the analysis and the platform that gets them there.

That approach shaped everything that followed — from how we run an engagement to the spatial platforms we build because the tools on the market were solving yesterday's problem. We're still a team that would rather spend an extra week understanding the real question than deliver a fast answer to the wrong one.

Leadership Team

25+ years of combined experience, still doing the work.

Every engagement is led by people who've spent decades in spatial analysis, enterprise platforms and client delivery - and who stay personally involved, not handed off to a rotating bench of juniors once the contract is signed.

0 Years of combined leadership experience across spatial analysis, platform engineering and client delivery.

Strategy & Consulting

Decades of experience framing the real spatial question and leading engagements from that first conversation through to delivery.

Platform & Engineering

Long-standing enterprise engineering experience, now channelled into the spatial platforms we build and the technical delivery behind them.

Managed Services

Years spent keeping mission-critical systems running long after go-live, not just through launch.

Careers

We're always interested in people who ask better questions.

Eightysevenpins is a small, senior team by design - every hire raises the bar on both spatial rigor and client delivery. If you'd rather solve a hard spatial problem properly than ship a good-enough dashboard, we'd like to hear from you.
