Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Eightysevenpins Pty Ltd ("Eightysevenpins", "we", "us" or "our"), based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, handles personal information collected through this website and our platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to provide our services:
- Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the reason for your enquiry and your message. If you create an account, we collect your username, email address, a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself in readable form) and any profile details you choose to add.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our systems record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the date and time of access. We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in.
3. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain and provide the website and our platform;
- To respond to your enquiries and consultation requests;
- To create and secure your account, including authentication and fraud prevention;
- To understand how the service is used and to improve it;
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Cookies and sessions
We use a single essential session cookie so that you stay logged in and so the site works correctly. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site that require signing in will not work without the session cookie.
5. Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only: with trusted service providers who host or support our infrastructure, under confidentiality obligations and only to the extent needed to provide the service; or where we are required or authorised to do so by law.
6. How we protect your information
We use a range of technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and secure password hashing. You can read more on our Security page.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Account information is retained while your account is active and is deleted or anonymised after your account is closed, subject to any legal retention obligations.
8. Overseas disclosure
Some of the infrastructure and content-delivery providers we rely on may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be handled consistently with this policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.
9. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. To make a request, or if you have a privacy concern, please contact us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10. Children
Our services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
